What the Witch Left, Ruth Chew

cover

This is a simple story about two girls who find several items from a drawer in an old chest. The drawer contains a little round mirror with a tarnished silver frame, a long bathrobe with a hood, a pair of gloves, a pair of red rubber boots and an old metal box with the picture of a fruitcake on the lid. They try each of the item and realise that every item has a unique magical purpose. You must read the book to find out what are the magical power for each item.

This is the fifth children book I had read this week. I just realised how much I had missed during my childhood time. The story is short and easy to understand. I think I will enjoy reading the story if I encountered this book when I was a kid.
