The battle of the Fall Classic preliminaries (Food Wars! Vol. 7) is almost come to an end. The beginning of the story has a minor introduction about Akira Hayama, also known as the Spice King. With his outstanding skill in spices and his remarkable dish – Fish Head Curry, will he able to win the competition and straight to the top spot? And what will be Soma’s competition dish in order to be in the top eight finalists to get qualified to the main event?
After the competition is over, Tadokoro and Soma help out at a kids cooking class. Despite the kids seem uncontrollable at the beginning, they work together very well to come out with their own ideas in order win the kids’ hearts.
The first round of the election’s main tournament is going to begin. Soma receives the theme for the first round and the theme is Bento. The theme seems very common but his opponent is not. Everyone is anticipating with the tournament and curious to know who will be Soma’s opponent. When everyone knows Alice Nakiri (molecular gastronomy genius) is Soma’s opponent, most of the students have their reservations that Soma will win the tournament.
